1. What the review module does

The review module turns your everyday email signature into a review-collection engine:

  • A review button/stars can appear in your signature so any recipient can rate you in one click.
  • You can request a review for a specific email/customer from inside your mail client.
  • You get a personal portal (/my-reviews) to track your ratings, badges, and links.
  • Customers leave reviews on a hosted, mobile-friendly page — no app or login required.

There are two review types:

TypeWhat it isWhere it lands
Internal (Rate My Service)A 1–5 star rating hosted by AdtoSign/r/<token>/review
ExternalA click-through to Google / Trustpilot / etc.Your configured platform link

2. Request a review for a specific email

Your admin enables the surfaces below. Use whichever matches your mail client.

Your mail clientUse this surface
Outlook (desktop / web)AdtoSign Outlook add-in
GmailAdtoSign Gmail add-on or the browser extension
Zoho MailAdtoSign Zoho extension or the browser extension
ZimbraAdtoSign Zimbra Zimlet
Yahoo / other webmailBrowser extension or the bookmarklet
Anything (no install)The web page /app/request-review

Outlook (add-in)

  1. Compose a new email (add the recipient + subject first).
  2. Open the AdtoSign add-in from the ribbon → the task pane opens.
  3. Click Request a Review.
  4. (Optional) Pick the placement (at your cursor, top, or bottom) and — for internal reviews — the style (stars or a button).
  5. A review call-to-action (CTA) is inserted into your draft. Send as normal.

Gmail / Zoho / Zimbra / other webmail

  1. Compose your email.
  2. Open the AdtoSign add-on/extension panel (or the floating Request a Review button).
  3. Click Request a Review → the CTA is inserted into your draft. Send as normal.

See the per-client install guides linked at the top.

Web fallback (works everywhere — zero install)

  1. Go to /app/request-review.
  2. Pick the review type, enter the recipient + context.
  3. Choose a handoff: Copy HTML, Open in mailto, or Copy plain link.
  4. Paste into any email or messaging app and send.

Bookmarklet (one-click from any webmail)

  1. Visit /app/request-review/install and drag the Request a Review button to your bookmarks bar.
  2. While composing in any webmail, click the bookmark — it pre-fills the form from the page.

3. See your ratings instantly ("See My Ratings")

From the Outlook add-in task pane (compose or read mode):

  1. Click See My Ratings.
  2. A browser tab opens an aggregate-only dashboard (your average, total, last-30-day trend, badges).
  3. To see full detail (individual reviews + reviewer names), click Log in for full details → signs you into /my-reviews.

The magic link is aggregate-only by design — it never exposes reviewer names/emails.

4. Your personal portal — /my-reviews

Sign in at /sign-in with your work account (Microsoft or Google SSO). You do not need a paid "team member" seat — directory users are admitted automatically.

TabWhat you do there
OverviewYour reviews received, average rating, last-30-day trend, badges earned
HistoryEvery individual review over the last 12 months (plan-gated — see §6)
Request a ReviewThe web request form, pre-filled with your identity
RequestsReview requests you've sent (status: pending / reviewed / expired) + resend reminder
BadgesBadges you've earned + progress to the next one
My LinksYour active review links — copy, QR code, health (active/expiring/expired)

Not enrolled? If your email isn't in your organization's synced directory yet, you'll see a "You're not enrolled yet" message. Ask your admin to add you to the directory, then sign in again.

5. What your customer sees

  1. The customer clicks the review button/stars in your signature (or your requested CTA).
  2. They land on the hosted page /r/<token>/review.
  3. One-click star path: they tap a star → a quick rating is captured, then they continue.
  4. Full review: they can add a comment + name.
  5. Anti-spam: before a written review is accepted, they verify once via email magic-link or Google/Microsoft sign-in (this is automatic and fast). Internal quick-ratings are exempt.
  6. After submitting, low ratings are routed privately to a manager; high ratings can be nudged toward a public platform review.

6. Plan limits

  • Aggregate stats + See-My-Ratings link are available on all plans that include Rate My Service.
  • Full review detail (individual reviews, reviewer identity, 1-year history, PDF export) requires the Pro+ review entitlement. If you're not entitled, the History tab shows an "ask your admin to upgrade" prompt while the aggregate tabs keep working.

7. Tips to get more reviews

  • Ask at the right moment — request a review right after you've delivered something the customer is happy with.
  • Personalize — a short, genuine line above the CTA lifts response rates.
  • Make it easy — the one-click star path needs no login; keep your ask brief.
  • Keep your links healthy — check My Links in your portal and replace any link marked expiring or expired.
  • Share your link directly — copy your review link or QR code from My Links for chat, SMS, or in person.
  • Let reminders do the work — if your admin enabled reminders, a gentle follow-up is sent automatically until the customer reviews.
